Studio CHAUBUNDI featured in "THREADS & VOICES Behind the Indian Textile Tradition"

Studio CHAUBUNDI was featured in an article in this beautiful art book by Marg Publications edited by Laila Tyabji highlighting Indian textile traditions. A comprehensive article about Studio CHAUBUNDI was written by Meeta and Sunny associated with PEOPLE TREE, Delhi. Over 17 pages describing the work and multi-step processes of block, dabu-printing and natural dyeing - typical of the Chippas of Jaipur district of Rajasthan. Studio CHAUBUNDI's along with the Nama family history , and many photos from their studio are included. A few pages from the book are shown here below:

  2. Here we have a couple of bed covers and a wrap-around skirt. If you look closely at the designs, you notice slight imperfections from where the stamps meet.
